What is "LoiLo Web Filtering" ?
Web Filtering is for preventing from accessing to the harmful site while using the Internet.
Managers or teachers can limit students' access by LoiLo Web Filtering.
If students accessed the limited page, the page would not be displayed on students' screen.
In addition, this filtering is the most suitable for lessons and studying at home because the filtering works on the whole browser.

Settings of LoiLo Web Filtering for Your Devices
Chromebook
Apply the filtering by installing Chrome Extensions.
The filtering is applied to whole your device.
Please install 'the extension for filtering' to all devices you use from 'Admin console'.
Make sure to enforce SafeSearch from Admin console.
▶︎︎Note: SafeSearch by Google is an option that can sift out inappropriate sites from search results. However, only using this option can allow students to visit any site they would like to by directly accessing its URL. Therefore, you need to combine SafeSearch by Google with LoiLo Web Filtering to block inappropriate sites completely.
Windows
Apply the filtering by installing extensions for Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
By limiting the Web browser to Microsoft Edge, you can block all the accesses to the harmful site throughout the entire Windows device.
Install 'the browser extension for filtering' on devices you use from Intune.
iPad
The filtering is applied to only 'Web Cards' on 'LoiLoNote App'.
You don't have to install any extension.
You cannot filter the browser. Please make sure to invalid the browsers including Safari.
SafeSearch by Google is constantly effective for 'Web Cards' on 'LoiLoNote App', and so inappropriate contents cannot be displayed on students' screen.

【Step1】Sign in to Web Filtering Configuration
Manage LoiLo Web Filtering from 'Settings' in 'Admin Menu' of LoiLoNote School.

【Step2】Set restricted category / individual URL
Restrict By Category
Each time a user tries to access an as-of-yet un-categorised Web site, the AI will make an automatic assessment and add the result to its database for the future.You can set the rules for each category, for teachers and students.

Category
Categories in red means “to be prohibited viewing” by default.

Individual URL Filters: black list / white list
You can restrict access to specific Website by categories of Websites, whole domains, or individual URLs.
Even if the entire domain is restricted, only the specified Web pages can be viewed by changing viewing rules.
You can prohibit or allow the whole domain by entering " * " before the URL. Prohibition or permission can filter the entire Web site.
【Step1】Create a new filter
New Filter > put the URL of prohibited Web page in the URL blank.
Enter * before the domain and URL of the Web site you'd like to prohibit.
Example: *netflix.com
【Step2】Settings of Browsing permission
You can set the browsing permission for each category, for teachers and students.

You can also manage all Individual URL Filters at once to use a template file downloaded from " import " in the scree of Individual URL Filters.
Column A: Enter URL you'd like to manage.
Column B: Enter the type of access privileges.
0：All access allowed
1：Students access blocked
2：All access blocked

Set browsing permissions for each Web page
When the LoiLo Web Filtering is enabled and it allows to view the Web page, you will see the green Shield icon on the right side of the URL.Click the Shield icon, teachers can check the category of the URLs you are browsing, and change the filtering rules.
The color of the Shield icon tells you the filtering status.

Obtain Web access logs
Log in to Web Filtering Configuration by your administrator ID.
You can check blocked URLs and all Web access logs from 'Web Filtering Browsing History'. You can also check the class in which the site was being viewed, user classification (teacher/student), 'Source' and 'Categories'. Plus, you can filter histories by term and searching phrase.
Example: Searching for 'Instagram'
You can search for logs by title and category of the Web site.
